Water heater leak in Western Springs, IL laundry room

A customer in Western Springs, IL had a water heater that leaked which affected the entire lower level of their home. The wall closest to the water heater had the most water damage but it extended up the walls and almost 2 feet of drywall had to be removed. 

Water that flows behind walls can warp the wooden studs and support system as well, requiring it to be replaced. Furthermore, wherever the water reaches, it can damage vulnerable drywall and other items as well. However, there is an even greater danger presented by a water heater that leaks over time....mold. 

Fortunately, we were able to work quickly and prevented a problem with mold.  The homeowner was ecstatic!!
